Canines and Childhood Cancer Research Study

In 2010, American Humane Association and Zoetis partnered to launch the Canines and Childhood Cancer (CCC) Study, a groundbreaking research effort to measure the impact of animal-assisted therapy (AAT) for children with cancer, their parents/guardians, and therapy dogs. The goals of this collaboration are to research the effectiveness of animal-assisted therapy in improving the treatment of childhood cancer for patients and their families, as well as to promote innovation, evidence-based research and practice improvements to advance the field of AAT.
