Kaps4Kids

Interested in helping OPACC?  Want to have fun while at the same time raising much needed awareness and funds supporting kids with cancer?

Kaps4Kids is a way that you can host an event at your school, workplace, organization, or group and come together to raise awareness and funds in support of OPACC and those children and families affected by a diagnosis of childhood cancer we support! 

 

For a $1 minimum donation per participant, you can wear a cap, hat, fedora, scarf or whatever you would like on your head to show your support for kids with cancer, raise funds for much needed community programs and help ensure that OPACC continues to help children and their families throughout their cancer journey.

 

Prizes! We now have incentives offered through our partnership with FundScrip where, depending on how much money is raised, your school or organization can choose a gift card as a prize (choose from amongst hundreds of retailers and restaurants!):
 

  • Tier One - minimum $200 raised; receive a gift card or combination of gift cards totaling $60

  • Tier Two - minimum $300 raised; receive a gift card or combination of gift cards totaling $80

  • Tier Three - minimum $500+ raised; receive a gift card or combination of gift cards totaling $100

     

Some ideas: Schools can receive gift cards to reward students with a pizza party from Pizza Pizza or subs from Subway, reward them with a movie field trip to Cineplex, purchase books for the school library from Chapters or buy educational materials for the classrooms from Scholar's Choice...the possibilities are endless! One school even chose to receive gas gift cards as their prize and then gifted them back to the family of the child in treatment to pay for their gas expenses as they traveled back and forth between their home and the treatment centre.

 

Both OPACC and your child's school benefit - it's a win-win!
